How I Feel Off of my A.D.D. Meds

A lot of people tell me they feel a lot better off of their A.D.D. meds, but most of those people have not found the right medicine for them in the first place, but to see for myself, I went a whole month without my medication. I've been on Vyvance since the third grade, so to say it was difficult being off of them is a major understatement. Here is how I felt off of my meds:

--- "I feel a lot hungrier and a lot less focused."

--- "I feel so unfocused that I can barely think to write this post. I don't know how people manage to work without ADD meds. I can't really even function."

--- "I feel like I am in a constant daze."

--- "My mind feels like it's all over the place."

--- "However, I do slightly see the appeal of no A.D.D. meds. I laugh and smile more, I have more fun, and I'm more carefree."

---"I'm more impulsive, and that kind of outweighs any good I experience off of my medicine because I do things without thinking. For example, I walked into class and there was this (ugly) drawing on the board and this girl who was already sitting down said, 'Diana, can you erase that?' I knew it wasn't her who drew it but I didn't hesitate to say okay. Turns out it was the sub we had that day who drew it and she got all upset. Thankfully, I did not get in trouble, but being off of Vyvance sure makes it easier to get in trouble."

Take this message as you will, but I personally think medicine can greatly help people who have A.D.D. or A.D.H.D. Thanks for reading.
