This is now we can all contribute to making gender equality happen. If we can ban together and do these things, true equality will be in our line of sight. Not all of these things are things that an individual can do alone, a lot of them are a team effort, but I hope they inspire you regardless.
1.) LAWS
(Some of these laws may already be enacted in America)
Not everyone believes in the gender pay gap, but either way, it couldn't hurt to enact a law that enforces companies to pay women and men equally.
There needs to be a law that protects women against stalking, domestic violence, and etc. This law already exists, but was taken down by the Trump administration.
This law probably already exists, but I'm going to mention it anyway. It is the law against sexual harassment in the workplace. I wanted to mention this law because it is essential for gender equality.

2.) SOCIAL CHANGES
Listening to Women: Our voices are often excluded from decision making. What can we do to stop this? Make our voices heard. When you hear something wrong, speak up, attend rallies, make your voice heard on social media, do something.
Educate Boys: Teach boys not only to respect women and that women can do anything they can do, but also to be aware that women are treated differently and to stand up for them when possible and if necessary.
Stop Misagony: Stop using female-oriented swear words to describe weakness. Women are strong, use it as such, and when you hear someone doing it, correct them politely. Here is my favorite quote that explains this:
“What’s the worst possible thing you can call a woman? Don’t hold back, now. You’re probably thinking of words like slut, whore, bitch, cunt (I told you not to hold back!), skank. Okay, now, what are the worst things you can call a guy? Fag, girl, bitch, pussy. I’ve even heard the term “mangina.”Notice anything? The worst thing you can call a girl is a girl. The worst thing you can call a guy is a girl. Being a woman is the ultimate insult. Now tell me that’s not royally fucked up.” ― Jessica Valenti, Full Frontal Feminism
3.) EMPOWER WOMEN AND GIRLS
Teach girls and women that they can do ANYTHING boys and men can do.
Get girls away from the idea that the need to be "girly" and "pretty" all the time.
Encourage women and girls to go into male dominate fields, especially government.
Tell women/girls they are beautiful no matter what and do so constantly.
Raise the aspirations of girls and their parents.
4.) PRACTISE
Practice equality by splitting household, childcare, and work responsibilities EQUALLY.
Watch for domestic violence signs in other people's relationships.
(Learn more about the signs here: https://www.helpguide.org/articles/abuse/domestic-violence-and-abuse.htm).
Practice equality by watching out for sexist comments, it can be as simple as,
"You _____ like a girl"
Encourage kids to play with toys of their choice.
Mind female role models, some you know and some you don't.
Be aware of gender stereotypes, roles, and social standards.
